Banner design for Pittsburgh Recovery Walk 2017
The Pittsburgh Recovery Walk is an annual event celebrating "the many roads to recovery from addiction and all those who have traveled them. It aims to dispel negative stigma and recognize recovery as a positive force in our community." It is completely free and open to the public. Everyone whose life has been touched by addiction or recovery is invited to join this city-wide celebration. It takes place at 9am on September 16, 2017, and starts in the parking lot at 11th and Waterfront and proceeds down Penn Avenue to Market Square, where there will be a Recovery Expo with speakers, activities and entertainment.
Inspired by their theme this year, "Celebrating Roads to Recovery" and banner contest idea entries from Jade Wellness Center clients, I am honored to create this banner for Jade Wellness to carry during their walk this year.
